Nancy J. Buzzetta, Vice President, Partner, Competition Automotive Group
Nancy J. Buzzetta is a Vice President of the Competition Automotive Group, which she owns in partnership with her father, and 2 brothers. Having grown up on Long Island, she is especially proud to be recognized among the elite group of women being honored this year by the Long Island Business News at their 10th Annual Top 50 Women Awards.
Nancy started her career with the Competition Automotive Group in 1993. She comes from an accounting background, having earned her CPA shortly after completing her BS in accounting from the University of Vermont. After working in the accounting and finance department of the Competition Auto Group for a few years, Nancy started spearheading the company’s marketing and corporate image efforts. She soon got involved as well in overseeing its IT needs, and eventually in almost every aspect of dealership operations.
When Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown opened at its present location in 1995 as an exclusive Mercedes-Benz retail center, Nancy took over its management. She believes that the firm’s consistent growth is a result of our commitment to providing outstanding service to our clients. We are fortunate to have grown almost every year, thanks to both our excellent staff and the loyalty of our valued customers, many of whom have been buying cars here since the 70s. Nancy understands that the customer is her “boss,” and is always willing to lend an ear to any customer or staff member who needs help.

Bill Riedel
General Manager
Bill started his automobile career in 1983. Bill gained knowledge of the automotive business by working in every department of the dealership, from finance to service, sales to management. Bill credits the success of Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown to the vision of Vice President Nancy Buzzetta, along with his own skills of implementing change. Bill is most proud of the Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown team, and the dealership's devotion to their Mission of Client Satisfaction.
Bill spends his off-time with his wife and two children. Golf and coaching baseball are his two passions. He also dedicates his time as a board member to the Eric Reistetter Children’s Foundation, and Pronto, a Long-Island based charity.

Rich Coviello
General Sales Manager
Rich Coviello has been with the Competition Automotive Group for over 28 years. He began in sales with the company while it was still a young operation and helped grow it to the successful dealer chain that it is today. Rich also manages the dealership's inventory and ordering, as well as the new car sales department.
Rich enjoys spending his free time with his family and three daughters, as well as playing golf at Indian Hills Country Club in Northport, New York.

Vincent Evangelista
New Car Sales Manager
Vin has had extensive experience in the automotive industry. He began his career in 1982, selling cars for General Motors, first Cadillac and later Pontiac. Feeling the need to move onward and upward in 1997 Vincent made his move to Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown, where he has excelled in a variety of positions, including Business Manager and his current position of New Car Sales Manager. In addition he also currently handles the dealership’s lease portfolio, loaner-car fleet and some of the dealerships special events.
Vincent and his wife are very involved in the North Shore community and school district in which they have lived for many years. "What I enjoy most is spending time with my wife and three sons". His favorite past time is watching his boys play lacrosse and wrestle for their school teams and coaching when time allows. Any other free time is spent playing tennis, golf and wallyball. "I'm competitive by nature, I've never met a game I didn't like".

Joe Graziadei
New Car Sales Manager
Joe has been with Mercedes-Benz for over forty-two years. Joe came to Mercedes-Benz Of Smithtown after a successful career at Mercedes-Benz of Manhattan. Joe continues to personalize the sale-experience for clients, as well as recruit and train talent for the Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown sales team. He recently implemented a high-volume Internet Sales Team at the dealership.
Joe enjoys golf and plays regularly. “Golf is my chance to compete, and have a great time with my friends”. Joe also enjoys spending time with his children and grand children.

Bill Glennon
Pre-Owned Manager
Bill has been in the automotive business for twenty-six years. Bill came to Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown in 2006 with a vision of growth for the dealership’s Certified Pre-Owned Program. The dealership now sells between 25 to 35 Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz vehicles per month. Bill Glennon previously worked at North Shore Lincoln Mercury, working his way up through the ranks, from car wash to Sales Manager.
Bill and his family are avid boaters on the North Shore and South Shore of Long Island, frequenting places such as Fire Island, Massapequa, Amityville, Greenport, Montauk, Sag Harbor and Port Jefferson. He also served his community as a member of the Setauket Volunteer Fire Department. Bill enjoys spending time with his two boys who are both students in the Three Village School District.

Mike McMahon
Service Director
Mike joined the Competition Automotive Group in 1979 as an entry level technician. After working for six months under several experienced technicians, he began repairing foreign automobiles. Within a few years Mike had several technician apprentices working for him in what turned out to be the first of several teams assembled in the service department. Mike eventually became the shop foreman for Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown and Competition BMW. When the position of service manager became available, he was offered the position, and set to work growing the department in personnel and revenue.
When Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown moved to its present location across the street, Mike began to operate the service departments at both dealerships, Competition-BMW and Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown. In 2001, opportunity came once again with the addition of Mercedes-Benz of Huntington, where Mike started a service Department with 4 technicians. Mercedes-Benz of Huntington now has over 20 technicians.
Mike’s hobbies include boating, flying, and being involved in youth ice hockey. Mike and his wife Dotty are proud parents of 2 young boys. He is a lifetime resident of Smithtown, New York.

Service Manager
Andy has been with the Competition Automotive Group for over 38 years now. He began with the company in its early stages, and has seen it grow to a multiple store operation. Andy's goal is client satisfaction and providing superior service to Mercedes-Benz clients.
Andy resides in Wading River, Suffolk County, with his wife.

Wayne Locanthi
Parts Department Director
Wayne has been with the Competition-Automotive group since 1985. Wayne began with the auto group early on, and has helped the company grow into a huge parts operation, service dealerships and clients nationwide. Wayne also manages the parts department at Competition BMW, the sister store of Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown.
In his free time, Wayne enjoys working on classic cars and spending time with his wife and children.

Norman Eckman
Parts Department Manager
Norman has been with the Competition Automotive Group for over 21 years. Norman began his career in the Parts Department at Competition Automotive as a stock boy, then worked at the parts counter, gaining an understanding of the gears behind what has become a hugely successful retail and wholesale parts operation at Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown. Norman is involved directly with the daily operations of his department. “If a problem arises within my department, I am there, willing and able to help in answering any questions or helping provide for the needs of the client”. His hands-on approach to things show in the success that the dealership has had supplying automotive parts nationwide.
In his free time, Norman enjoys working on and restoring cars, attending car shows and being with his family.

David Lucie
Business Development Manager
Dave has been with Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown for over 5 years. Dave previously worked in management for a large telecommunications company, and has extensive experience in call center customer service. Dave made his move to Mercedes in 2003, as the Business Development Center Manager, and quickly embarked on setting up a high volume client service operation within the dealership, in line with Mercedes-Benz's new customer service model.
Dave has since expanded his duties to our sister stores, Competition BMW and Competition Infiniti, in St. James. He enjoys spending free time with his family and sports.

John Cornwell
Fleet Program Manager
John has been with the Competition-Automotive group since 2004 and developed our Special Purchase and Lease Program for Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown, Competition BMW, Infiniti, Toyota/Scion, and Smart Car. The program offers special pricing and perks to employers and employees of many businesses on Long Island.
John came to us with over 30 years of sales experience and marketing. He was instrumental in Lojack’s initial expansion in Florida during the late 80’s. He has prior experience in management with Mercedes-Benz and BMW Dealerships.

Nathan Boutcher
Internet Manager
Nathan has worked in automobile E-commerce since 2000. He began as an Internet Sales Consultant at Ramp Chevrolet, in Port Jefferson Station, and later began managing the Internet Sales department. Nathan made his move to Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown in 2005, to help the dealer grow its online presence, online sales, and website.
He currently helps run the Internet Sales team, set up in 2006, and various marketing elements at Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown and Smart Center Smithtown. Nate is a music enthusiast, he also enjoys spending time with his family and surfing.

Stephanie has been with Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown for 9 years. Stephanie has had extensive experience in all aspects of the automotive industry, including sales for Lexus, as well as Mercedes-Benz. Stephanie made her move to sales coordinator in the Business Development Center, and maintains a large client base, ensuring that their questions are answered and that they recieve a personal level of service. Stephanie also handles the dealership's lease portfolio.

Keith Hodge
Service Department Supervisor
Keith has been with the Competition-Automotive Group for over 12 years. Keith’s dedication to keep the service department running smoothly and providing prompt service to each client has helped Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown achieve a high level of customer satisfaction over the years. Keith also works as a service writer on Saturdays at the dealership.

Vic's twenty-four year automotive career combines strong financial expertise along with broad business sales experience. He is versed in all aspects of automotive sales, leasing and financing, having gained experience on the job and also through various automotive educational seminars.
Vic, his wife and four sons live in Smithtown. They are very involved in the communitiy's youth sports programs. He enjoys playing and coaching baseball, football and other sports with his sons.
